Coast to Coast training diary 1

Well, I decided to give up the winter blobbiness and start training for the coast to coast race.  I'm getting into a kayaking course to make sure that I have the required certificates and on Sunday I went for a nice long run.  It was a beautiful day for the middle of winter, and reminded me of Summer in England :)
I thought I might take a few video training diaries over the next few months so that you can see where I train, and how I go. 
This was day one - the plan was a 20km run followed by a 2 hour bike ride.  What actually happened was a 15km run, then it got windy, so I went kitesurfing, however the wind died, so I ended up going for a 2 hour slosh around in mud, which was actually pretty good training too.  I made up the bike ride on Monday, so everything is still on track.

I cracked up in that bit where you point the camera down towards the beach. That's Ladies Bay which is apparently a nudist beach for men. Not that I've ever been down there. :)
