I love food, I love to cook (but not for one person), I love to eat, and I love to take photographs.
I'm not very good at cooking or photography, but it doesn't mean that I don't enjoy them.
I'm trying to understand both a bit better, I know what flavours I like, and I'm trying to play around with different herbs and spices to see what works and doesn't. I know what I like in a photograph, but I struggle to take the image with a camera that I have in my head, armed with only an iPhone camera, I guess there is only so much I can do.
So here is a picture I took last night (with a real camera) of some yummy avacado salad (Made by E, not by me I might add).
I wanted to incorporate the colour of the food, with a different persepctive through the length of the spoon handle. I liked the contrast of the structured text with the rough cut vegetables. I like this picture a lot!
The other one I took was of the whole meal which included crusty French bread and Ratatouille.
In this picture, I wanted to capture some of the ambiance of the meal through the soft lighting, and yet still hi-light the colour of the food. I wanted to emphasize the circular shapes of the food items with the contrasting linear shape of the cutlery.
Most of all - I want to eat it all again :)
