Its National Jandal Day, where we raise awareness and money for the volunteer surf lifeguards and keep the lifesaving service that they give to us in New Zealand waters. I'll be street collecting on Albert Street in Auckland today from 3-4:30pm, you will be able to recognize my by my jandals :)
Since 1910 Surf Lifeguards have been patrolling our beaches in their jandals.
Join us on the 3 December to celebrate 100 years of surf life saving service to your community. We know 3.4 million kiwis own a pair of jandals and 2.5 million have more than one pair.
